South Orange-Maplewood School Calendar 2011-12 Finalized

Don't tell the kids, but the new school year is in the works. The ink is dry on the 2011-12 school calendar, distributed via email and on the district website, with a number of important changes. 

The Board of Education approved revisions to the 2011-2012 school calendar at its June 20 meeting. A staff development day  was moved from October 24 to October 21. Elementary parent-teacher conferences will take place in the fall (November) as well as the spring (March). NJ ASK Testing dates have been added in April. Finally, the addition of a third day for emergency closings means the last day of school in 2012 moves from  June 18 to June 19. 

School begins on Sept. 6 for grades K-7 and 9. Everyone reports on Sept. 7.
