South Orange's HGTV Design Star Tyler Wisler

Tyler Wisler is the hometown hero of HGTV Design Star, season six. Wisler, 35, an interior designer from South Orange, completed high school in Honolulu, Hawaii, before moving to the East Coast to attend Marymount University. Since earning a bachelor's degree in interior design 12 years ago, according to the HGTV biography.

Wisler has worked as a professional interior designer in the New York City area, and lives in South Orange. According to his show biography, Wisler "believes that most of his design skills were developed by on-the-job experience with clients, who he says appreciate his attention to detail."

Wisler is a fan of "industrial chic," including recycled materials and dark metals paired with wood.
