TikTok Challenge Sees NJ Middle Schoolers Smear Feces On Walls
The principal of South Orange Middle School called parents Wednesday evening.

SOUTH ORANGE, NJ – A TikTok challenge is being blamed for students at South Orange Middle School defecating on floors, smearing feces on walls and blocking toilets.
Lynn Irby, the principal of the school which serves South Orange and Maplewood, called parents Wednesday evening describing the horrific scenes students and staff had found.
"We have previously discussed the TikTok challenges that are happening across the country and we were hoping we would have avoided them," she said in a recorded message.

"However, recently students have made the decision to trash the bathroom. This includes stuffing the toilets with paper towels, dismantling the soap dispensers, defecating on the floors and smearing feces on the walls."
It wasn't mentioned if it was the girls'or boys' bathroom that had been damaged, or both.

Because there are no cameras in the bathrooms, Irby said they were finding it difficult to identify those involved. She asked parents to speak to their children.

A TikTok challenge urging people to trash school bathrooms has been circulating for months and has caused damage across the country.
