Yankees Strike Out to Support SHU Scholarship Students
Seton Hall University and WCBS 880 AM — the Yankees Radio Network — have teamed up to support Strikeouts for Scholarships, a program in honor of Ed Lucas '62
Seton Hall University and WCBS 880 AM — the Yankees Radio Network — have teamed up to support Strikeouts for Scholarships, a program in honor of Ed Lucas '62, longtime baseball reporter and analyst. Ed Lucas lost his sight shortly after watching Bobby Thompson hit "The shot heard 'round the world" in 1951.
Every time a Yankees pitcher strikes out an opposing batter, the New York Yankees and WCBS 880 will donate $10 to the Ed Lucas Fund which provides assistance to the hundreds of students currently attending Seton Hall.
