Dog Mannequin Taken From Toms River Store

How much is that doggie in the window?

Free, if you steal it.

Toms River police say two men scored a five-finger discount on a dog mannequin that was on display at the Old Navy store in the Ocean County Mall around 3:30 p.m. Thursday afternoon.

Two white males wearing black sweatshirts, one carrying a pink skateboard and the other sporting a dark, short haircut were observed removing the novelty representation of man's best friend, said Police Chief Michael Mastronardy.

As for how much the doggie in the window was actually worth: $215, Mastronardy said.

Officer Anthony Claps is investigating.
