Man allegedly had drugs and $100,000 in outstanding warrants when he was stopped at the Route 571 Quick Chek Monday

A Toms River man was jailed on multiple drug charges and more than $100,000 of outstanding warrants after Manchester police said he fled on foot from officers during a routine traffic stop Monday.
Aldo Ventiere, 33, of Toms River was apprehended by police after he allegedly ran when police pulled over his vehicle for a traffic violation in the Route 571 Quick Chek parking lot, according to Manchester Police Lt. Vincent Manco.
Patrolman Michael Anderson exited his patrol car and chased Ventiere. A search of the area resulted in the arrest of Ventiere, who was found hiding in the wooded area behind the Quick Chek, Manco said in a statement.

Bail for Ventiere was set at $10,000 with no 10 percent option. He was taken to the Ocean County Jail on Manchester’s charges in addition to more than $100,000 dollars in outstanding warrants from multiple jurisdictions, Manco said.
When more officers arrived at the scene, police learned from witnesses that as Anderson chased Ventiere a passenger left the vehicle, grabbed something off the ground, re-entered and drove from the scene, Manco said.
Police ran the plates through a DMV look-up and found that the vehicle is registered to a Toms River address. Officers from the Toms River Police Department responded to the address and confirmed that the vehicle was there, Manco said.
Manchester officers Sgt. Salvatore Ventre and Ptl. Vincent Derome responded to the residence along with Toms River police. There, the man who had driven the suspect vehicle from the scene was identified as Ryan Hildebrandt, 30 of Toms River.
Hildebrandt was arrested and charged with obstructing the administration of law. A consent search of the vehicle resulted in negative results and Hildebrandt was later released on a summons pending court, Manco said.
