Verona and Cedar Grove residents have many options for local staycation, but it appears the venue readers chose for our Readers’ Choice winner for best staycation place was Jackal’s Stadium/Floyd Hall Arena right over the hill in Montclair.
The Jackals, a minor-league baseball team that plays in the Can-Am league, call the stadium (also known as native son Yogi Berra Stadium) on the campus of Montclair State University home.
The Jackals will host a free exhibition game tonight at 7 at the stadium against Rockland. The stadium is located at 1 Hall Drive.
Floyd Hall Arena is the home of ice skating and hockey and is also located on the campus of Montclair State University. Youth leagues, adult programs and skating are only some of the services offered.
