Bike Ride Will 'Help Send a Kid to Camp'
Choose from a 15- and 45-mile ride through West Essex and help send inner-city youth to Vacamas camp in West Milford.

The fifth annual Vacamas Programs for Youth “Help Send a Kid to Camp” Bike Ride will take place Sunday, June 3. The 15- and 45-mile bike rides set out from the Mountain Avenue Sports Complex in North Caldwell.
The event will help provide summer camp scholarships for underserved, inner-city youth at the Vacamas camp in West Milford. This year’s goal is to raise $30,000.
The police-escorted rides will take riders throughout North Caldwell, Fairfield, Essex Fells, Roseland, West Caldwell and Parsippany.

Registration is at 8 a.m. and costs $30. Riders are encouraged to raise at least $100 for the event, but are not required to do so. The event will conclude with a celebratory barbeque and a raffle for a Kindle.
This is not a race just an enjoyable ride open to all ages and abilities.
