The Cedar Grove Elks, after providing much information to the National Elks Association (Grand Lodge), of all the hard work they have done for Charities and the Community, they qualified for the Grand Lodge’s “Gratitude Grant.” With some of the funds from this Grant, the Cedar Grove Elks purchased some educational Thesauruses (book of Synonyms) for all the 3rd Graders and “Home ID kits” for school kids in the 1st grade in the Cedar Grove’s Public School District & St. Catherine’s Grammar School.

With the help of Cedar Grove Elks members; each Thesaurus was labeled with the CG Elks info and a line that says “This Book Belongs To:” where the students can place their names on the inside cover of the book.

The Child ID kits, that are kept at home by their families, include: An Inkless Fingerprint Card, DNA Collection Site, Inkless Applicator. Also included is a card to fill out your child’s physical description, identify marks, place for a photo, and other information.
