Community features one and two bedroom high-end apartments.

Local officials and developers celebrated the completion of the second phase of the Highlands at Hilltop recently.
The luxury residential community with 130 rental units and a 6,000-square-foot club room, outdoor pool and other amenities is now officially open.
Mayor Bob Manley praised the development team for being good neighbors to Verona residents and bringing to town a community project he said will help stabilize property taxes.

Carl Goldberg, Canoe Brook Associates, agreed that the spirit of cooperation between the town and the developers helped the project move along according to plan.
“Over the years I have been involved in a number of public-private partnerships, and this one in Verona, in particular, is one of the best I have ever been a part of,” Goldberg said.

The one- and two-bedroom rentals are priced monthly from $2,400s to $2,900s. The apartments range in size from 698- to 1,546-square-feet and most units include outdoor space.
The community includes a 6,000-square-foot club room with flat-screen televisions, a computer center, fireplace, bar/lounge area, billiards and a golf simulator. Outside, residents have use of an outdoor heated pool, barbecue grills, flat-screen televisions and an outdoor fireplace. Tennis courts and basketball courts are also available on-site, as well as two fitness facilities.
The developers of Highlands at Hilltop said they choose Verona because of its ideal location and pent-up demand in the marketplace for high-end rental communities.
The first phase includes a 4,700-square-foot clubhouse, outdoor pool and 95 rental units that are 100 percent occupied.
