Junior Woman's Club of Verona Holds Fundraisers Tonight

Charities include The Seeing Eye and Montclair's Human Needs Pantry

 

The Junior Woman’s Club of Verona will host a fundraiser tonight during the Verona fireworks to benefit The Seeing Eye.

As part of the fundraiser, stylists from Alicia’s Hair and Design in Montclair will sell red and blue extensions and hair color.

The club will also be collecting non-perishable food items for Operation Peanut Butter, Jelly and Beans with all donations going to the Human Needs Pantry in Montclair.

In addition, the club will also be selling its discount card tonight. The card, about the size of a credit card, offers discounts to 22 local businesses.

Cardholders may use the card an unlimited number of times at featured businesses between June 1 and Nov. 30 2012.

Cards may be purchased for $20 ($18 for seniors).

The Junior Woman’s Club of Verona is an organization involved in social and charitable work since its inception in 1926. The Juniors address Verona's diverse needs by promoting education, preserving natural resources, encouraging healthy lifestyles, working on behalf of the elderly and people with disabilities, supporting participation in the arts and advocating for issues of concern to women, children and families.
