Modern Public Works Building Opens in Cedar Grove
Modern facility provides up-to-date and more efficient working conditions for employees

Essex County Executive Joseph N. DiVincenzo, Jr. (sixth from left) opened the new, 40,000-square-foot Essex County Public Works Building in Cedar Grove on Wednesday, September 3rd. The state-of-the-art building replaces the antiquated 19th century buildings with a modern structure designed with office areas and work spaces that provide employees with up-to-date, appropriate and safe conditions.
Cutting the ceremonial ribbon with the County Executive in front of the facility are (from left) Assemblywoman Grace Spencer, Freeholder Vice President Patricia Sebold, Essex County Public Works Director and County Engineer Sanjeev Varghese, Freeholder President Blonnie Watson, Freeholder Leonard Luciano, Assemblyman Tom Giblin, Freeholder Carol Clark and Essex County Deputy Chief of Staff William Payne.
