Monsignor: St. Catherine of Siena Carnival Successful
Letter to the editor thanks sponsors, participants and officials for presence and support.

To the Editor:
The 2012 St. Catherine of Siena Carnival was once again very successful and enjoyed a tremendous turnout. The rain even held out long enough Sunday night to get a few spins on the Ferris wheel – and a few more zeppole to bring home! On behalf of the SCS Carnival Committee members, we would like to thank the entire community for supporting this event.
We especially want to thank the Township of Cedar Grove, including the Clerk’s office, Township Manager, the DPW, our Police Department, and the volunteers at CGARS and the CGFD for their presence and support.
Thanks, too, to our sponsors and supporters: Arctic Falls Spring Water; Buy Rite Liquors of Cedar Grove; George E. Cox Plumbing and Heating; Deb Ger Electric; Eastern Janitorial Co.; Esposito’s Pizza and Deli; Jerome P. Fejko, CPA; Super Foodtown of Cedar Grove; Il Tulipano; Investors Bank; Knights of Columbus Council #3632; Gary Laglia of State Farm Insurance; K. Macken Landscaping; Metric Plumbing and Heating; Teresa Durski, Walter, Fr. Vincent, Eugene and Stephen Nebus; Palermo’s Bakery; Dr. Matthew J. Peluso Orthodontics; Rainbow Food Services; Rare, the Steakhouse; St. Catherine’s Rosary Ministry; the James Sabia Family; Salzano Eye Center; Sandies Specialties; Shooks Cedar Grove Funeral Home; and Sgobba Monument Works.
We also appreciate the support of the local businesses and neighbors who graciously withstood the traffic and noise that comes with a carnival.
And finally, none of this could have happened if it were not for the invaluable dedication and support of our school and parish staff and the countless volunteers who offered their time and talent to ensure the success of this fun community tradition.
A most sincere thank you all,
Msgr. Robert Slipe, Kevin Brown, Tony Morano
