Police Blotter: Credit Card Theft, Expired Licenses in Cedar Grove

The following information has been provided by the Cedar Grove Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.



May 28: Cedar Grove police arrested 27-year-old John R. Esposito of Cedar Grove at 8:02 p.m. for driving with a suspended license. While he was being arrested, police also found a glass pipe and hypodermic needle. Esposito was processed and released pending a municipal court appearance.

May 28: Cedar Grove police arrested 22-year-old Christopher M. Riepe of Florham Park at 11:47 p.m. on outstanding traffic warrants from Cedar Grove, Montclair and Butler courts. He was processed and turned over to Montclair police.

May 30: Cedar Grove police arrested 20-year-old William Pichardo of Clifton following an investigation of a report a credit card was stolen.

On March 5, the victim told police he inadvertently left his credit card in a store and discovered the card was used to make three unauthorized purchases. One of the purchases was made online for a cell phone to be delivered to Pichardo’s Clifton home.

Pichardo was charged with credit card theft, fraudulent use of a credit card, identity theft and theft by deception. He was processed at police headquarters and released pending a Superior Court arraignment.

May 31: Cedar Grove police arrested 27-year-old Karl Shenassa of Clifton at 8:11 p.m. for driving with a suspended license. He was processed and released pending a municipal court appearance.

June 2: Cedar Grove police arrested 29-year-old Laura A. Kelly of Montclair at 8:43 p.m. for driving with an expired and suspended license after a traffic stop. Kelly was process and released pending a municipal court appearance.
