Series of Car Burglaries Strikes Verona

The following information has been provided by the Verona Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Verona police are investigating a series of car burglaries on June 5 in which a pair of backpacks, auto parts, a GPS, a portable DVD player and spare change was taken from several unlocked cars.

According to police, the burglaries began at 7:06 a.m. on Hillside Avenue when the change was taken from a car. 

Eleven minutes later, an unlocked Forest Avenue car was also burglarized and a backpack was taken.

Approximately an hour later, a backpack was taken from another Forest Avenue car. The backpack was later located on Hillside Avenue and returned to the owner.

Later that afternoon, Verona police investigated a burglary to an unlocked Fairway Avenue car in which the resident reported a GPS and a portable DVD player were taken.
