Tamburro, McEvoy, Holland Win Verona Council Race: 2025 Election Results Certified
The election results have been certified. Here's the final tally for Verona's town council race.
VERONA, NJ — Christopher Tamburro, John Jack McEvoy, and Cynthia Holland have emerged victorious in the race for Verona Township Council, official election results show.
A highly watched governor race brought many Verona residents to the polls on Nov. 4. But there were plenty of other choices for local voters to make in the 2025 general election.
Verona residents cast ballots for three open seats on the township council. Terms last for four years. The candidates were: Paul Petrangeli, John Jack McEvoy, Elizabeth Hynes, Christopher Tamburro, and Cynthia Holland.

Tamburro, McEvoy and Holland have captured seats on the council. Here are the official results from the Essex County Clerk’s Office:
- Paul Petrangeli – 2,157 votes (13.55%)
- John Jack McEvoy – 3,895 votes (24.47%)
- Elizabeth Hynes – 2,865 votes (18.0%)
- Christopher Tamburro – 3,907 votes (24.54%)
- Cynthia Holland – 3,094 votes (19.44%)
