Thieves Hit Unlocked Cedar Grove Cars

Police report series of thefts from unlocked cars on June 25 on Westview Court, Old Quarry Road, Cedar Street and Highpoint with GPS, gift cards, loose change taken.

 

Cedar Grove police are investigating a string of thefts from parked, unlocked cars in the township on June 25.

Residents on Westview Court, Old Quarry Road, Cedar Street and Highpoint all reported their cars being entered and the contents of the cars rummaged through during the overnight hours.

Items reported stolen from the cars included a portable GPS, gift cards and loose change, police said.

Police are urging residents throughout the township to lock and set their car alarms at night and to remove all valuables from the vehicles.
