Junior Woman's Club of Verona thanks residents for money to help The Seeing Eye as well as gaining non-perishable food donations for Operation Peanut Butter, Jelly and Beans.
To the Editor:
On behalf of the Junior Woman’s Club of Verona, we would like to thank the community for supporting our recent fundraiser. During the Verona fireworks on Monday, we were able to raise $573.50 for The Seeing Eye. We also collected many non-perishable food donations for Operation Peanut Butter, Jelly and Beans.

We would also like to take this opportunity to give special thanks to Alicia and her team from Alicia’s Hair & Design (located at 573 Bloomfield Ave. in Montclair, aliciashairdesign.com), who volunteered their services during the fundraiser. They did a great job, and the fundraiser would not have been as successful without them. In addition, we want to thank Jim Cunningham and the Verona Recreation Department for their support and assistance.
The Verona Juniors are pleased to be able to donate to The Seeing Eye, which provides specially bred and trained dogs to guide people who are blind.
