Nineteen members of Forest Avenue Brownie Troop #22928 in Verona recently visited the Verona Police Department with two of their troop leaders, Lillian Vega and Debi Wallace.
During their visit, the Brownies met with Verona police officers Erin McCarrity and Robert Shaefer.
The troop leaders were pleased the Brownies were able to see a female police officer at work since the leaders try to empower the Brownie girls and build their self esteem.
In addition to the visit, the girls earned a merit badge for the visit.
