3 Hospitalized In NJ Turnpike Crash In South Jersey: Police
The crash took place shortly after 1:30 a.m. Monday on the New Jersey Turnpike, state police said.
CARNEYS POINT, NJ - Three individuals were hospitalized following a crash on the New Jersey Turnpike in Carneys Point Monday, authorities said.
The crash took place at 1:39 a.m. on the New Jersey Turnpike northbound near milepost 0.2 in Carneys Point, a spokesperson for the New Jersey State Police told Patch.
According to an initial investigation, a Nissan Sentra was traveling southbound in the northbound lanes when it struck a Nissan Pathfinder and a Hyundai Sonata, state police said.

Several non-life threatening injuries were reported; three patients were transported to a nearby hospital for those injuries, state police said.
The northbound lanes were closed for around three hours for scene cleanup. All northbound traffic was diverted to I-295 north.
