$5,000 Scrapping Burglary Tops West Deptford Crimelog
Plus: someone reportedly made off with nearly $1,100 in 12-volt car batteries from an area auto repair center, and another iPhone went missing from the RiverWinds.

The following incidents were reported by the West Deptford Police Department as having occurred within the Township in the first week of April.
- On April 5, a vacant residence on South Union Avenue was burglarized to the tune of a reported $5,000 in damages. Copper pipes and an air conditioning unit were taken.
- On April 10, an unknown person (or persons) stole six 12-volt Pardo car batteries (valued at $1,095) from Billy-O-Tire Truck and Auto Repair.
- On April 6, an iPhone 4 (valued at $199) was stolen from the gymnasium area of the Riverwinds Community Center.
- On April 7, five unlocked motor vehicles burglarized in the Verga Section of the Township. GPS units, personal belongings and loose change were reported missing.
