Highway Accident in Westville Costs Man His Leg, Kills Dog
Medford Lakes native Gary Parks lost his leg in the crash, and his dog, Bevis, was killed. Parks' fiancee, Lynda Frame, is hoping someone can help her find some answers.
Lynda Frame was supposed to be in the Caribbean this week, sipping drinks on a deck chair alongside fiancée Gary Parks while their beloved family dog, Bevis, napped on her lap.
Instead, the 52-year-old Flourtown native is searching for answers after a horrific vehicle accident that cost Parks a leg, killed Bevis, and sent her into an emotional tailspin.
The worst part is that she doesn’t even really know what happened.

Frame got word on April 12 that Parks was the victim of an early morning traffic accident near mile marker 24.9 (Westville) of I-295. His silver Toyota RAV-4 ran off the roadway in the driving rain at about 10:25 a.m. “for unknown reasons,” said Sgt. Adam Grossman of the New Jersey State Police
Parks was transported by Gloucester County EMS to the Cooper Trauma Center in nearby Camden, where his leg was amputated and it was discovered that he had suffered internal bruising, Frame said. Bevis, her bichon, was killed in the collision.

Details are limited at this point of the case, because the investigation is still ongoing, Grossman told Patch. Frame doesn’t have many answers first-hand because Parks hasn’t spoken since the accident, she said.
Commenters on the website Accidentin.com, however, have communicated details of the crash to her through a series of message board posts that describe a grisly scene.
From the opposite side of the highway, poster “BK” reported seeing “a man stretched out laying in the middle of the highway covered in blood in the pouring rain… pieces of the car scattered all over and the car was unrecognizable.”
Another, “CJM,” described seeing “someone in a truck was positioning diagonally across the lane to block oncoming traffic.”
“I’m not really doing well,” Frame said. “My dog was my life. Gary was retired. We were just always together.”
She continues to believe that Parks, a 28-year airline pilot, was “tapped from behind” in “some sort of road rage incident,” although state police would not speculate.
For now, Frame is just looking for some answers. Any witnesses to the accident are urged to contact the Bellmawr State Police Station at 856-933-0662.
“Somebody was responsible for this, and did this thing,” she said. “Somebody had to see this happen.”
