Pair Charged With Manslaughter After Baby's Death In South Jersey: Police
The 2-year-old became unresponsive in a South Jersey home, authorities said.

WOODBURY, NJ — A Gloucester County man and woman were charged with manslaughter last month in the death of a baby, officials said Wednesday.
A 2-year-old boy became unresponsive June 3 at a home on the 400 block of Deptford Avenue, according to Woodbury police. Officers rendered aid before the child was brought to Cooper University Hospital in Camden, where he was pronounced dead.
After a months-long investigation, authorities identified two Woodbury residents as suspects: Amanda Schools, 35, and Tyler Sullivan, 28.

Police have not shared the suspects' relationship to the baby or the victim's cause of death. Patch contacted authorities with questions and will update as more information becomes available.
Schools and Sullivan were each charged with aggravated manslaughter (first-degree), reckless manslaughter (second-degree), endangering the welfare of children (second-degree) and possession of a controlled dangerous substance (fourth-degree).

They were arrested in late January and remain incarcerated in the Salem County Correctional Facility, which provides jailing services for Gloucester County.
