Nearly 700 New COVID-19 Cases In Gloucester County This Week
The delta variant accounted for more than 99 percent of COVID-19 cases in New Jersey over a four-week period.
GLOUCESTER COUNTY, NJ — Gloucester County and New Jersey have seen an uptick in coronavirus cases. But what does that mean for the county?
As of Friday, there have been 33,851 coronavirus cases and 676 coronavirus-related deaths in Gloucester County since the pandemic began in March 2020.
This is an increase of 693 cases and 19 deaths from last week, when there were 33,158 coronavirus cases and 657 coronavirus-related deaths in Gloucester County.

Officials continue to monitor the delta variant, which accounted for more than 99 percent of coronavirus cases in New Jersey over the last four-weeks, according to data provided by the state department of health.
Gloucester County has "moderate" COVID activity, according to New Jersey's latest weekly report. The determination is based on metrics such as case rate, positivity rate and prevalence of COVID-like illnesses.

“Getting your COVID-19 vaccine will protect you, your family and the community from effects of COVID-19. Please get yours today,” Gloucester County Commissioner Director Robert M. Damminger said. “Vaccines are available Tuesday through Friday at the Gloucester County Public Works Complex. No appointments are necessary.”

COVID-19 Vaccinations are readily available for all individuals living, working or studying in the State of New Jersey. Interested individuals can visit the Gloucester County Public Works Complex at 1200 N Delsea Dr, Clayton, NJ 08312. No appointments are necessary.
"Rapid testing is available by appointment at the Gloucester County Health Department. Please call 856-218-4142 to schedule Monday through Friday," Damminger said.
As of Friday, Gloucester County has conducted 238,926 total tests. Of these cases, 206,075 have come back negative.
