Pedestrian Struck in Red Bank Avenue Accident

Police say Christina Wacker, 39, was struck by a car driven by 51-year-old Wendy Harvey as she tried to cross Red Bank Avenue Wednesday morning.

A West Deptford woman was sent to the hospital Wednesday morning after she was struck by a car while attempting to cross Red Bank Avenue.

At 8:36 a.m., West Deptford police said a 2001 Chryslyer Sebring operated by Wendy Harvey, 51, of West Deptford, was traveling east on Red Bank Ave. near the intersection of Carter Avenue.

Harvey's vehicle struck Christina Wacker, 39, also of West Deptford, who was crossing southbound across the roadway, police say. Wacker was injured in the collision and was transported to Cooper Hospital.

As of Wednesday evening, a spokesperson at Cooper confirmed that Wacker was in stable condition. Harvey did not suffer any injury in the incident.
