1 Dead In Crash Between Dump Truck, Car In Gloucester Co.: Officials
The collision also caused a large diesel fuel spill.
HARRISON TOWNSHIP, NJ — A person was killed in a crash between a dump truck and a sedan Tuesday in Harrison Township, officials said.
It happened around 6:30 a.m. at the intersection of Ellis Mill Road and Clems Run.
The sedan driver — David J. Raymond Jr., 44, of Sewell — was pronounced dead at the scene. Police said his car veered onto the other side of the road for an unknown reason and hit the truck along the front driver's side.

The dump truck driver was evaluated at the scene and released.
The collision also caused a large diesel-fuel spill, which hazmat crews and firefighters were cleaning up, officials said.

Just before the crash, the 2007 Mack Truck was traveling southbound on Ellis Mill Road. Raymond was driving northbound when his 2021 Tesla crossed into the southbound lane and hit the truck, police said.
Sections of Ellis Mill Road and Clems Run were closed for about 4 hours.
Harrison police continue to investigate the crash.
