Strip Club Fight, Utility Pole Scrapper: West Deptford Crime Log

In the past two weeks, police also made arrests for panhandling, narcotics possession, and a Township man who shoved his girlfriend to the ground for pocket change.

West Deptford Police reported the following arrests were made in the Township in the past two weeks.

On March 28, 26-year-old Daniel J. Deleon of Camden City was arrested for possession of what police believe was a quantity of marijuana after a motor vehicle stop. Deleon was issued summonses for the same and released pending a court date.

That same day, patrols responded to a report of theft at the intersection of Crown Point and Mantua Grove Roads. Subsequently, Michael S. Tiller, 48, of Paulsboro, was arrested for possession of marijuana under 50 grams and for possession of drug paraphernalia. Tiller was issued a summons and released pending a court date.

On March 29, patrols responded to a report of a fight at the Champagne Nightclub. At the scene, police arrested 37-year-old Shawn James of Raeford, N.C. and 38-year-old Fernando Lugo of Atco for disorderly conduct. Both were issued summonses and released.

That same day, 49-year-old Randy D. Johnston of West Deptford was arrested for theft of a N.J. Department of Transportation utility pole that had fallen to the ground on the Exit 22 off-ramp of I-295 north. Johnston was issued a summons and released pending a court date. The pole was valued at $200.

Also on March 29, 28-year-old Colin J. Morace of West Deptford was arrested for strong-arm robbery (2nd degree) after pushing his girlfriend to the ground and forcefully stealing currency from her pockets. Bail was set at 10 percent of $25,000; unable to meet that obligation, Morace was subsequently lodged in the Gloucester County Jail.

On March 30, Heinrich W. Weber II, 63, of Paulsboro, was issued a municipal ordinance for panhandling money at the Wawa on Crown Point Road. Weber was released at the scene pending a court date.

On March 31, 45-year-old Lewis V. Wilson, Jr. of West Deptford was arrested for DWI after a motor vehicle stop on Rt. 130. Lewis was processed and released pending a court date.  

On April 3, police responded to a trespassing complaint at the Country Creek Condominiums. There, they encountered Edward B. Angelini, 42, of West Deptford, and arrested him for possession of what police believe was crack-cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Angelini's bail was set at 10 percent of $10,000; unable to meet that obligation, he was lodged in the Gloucester County Jail.
