Undefeated Eagles March On: West Deptford Sports Update
The Eagles athletics program is turning out some teams who just continue to stifle the opposition.

The shutout streak continued for the Eagles softball program on Monday, as West Deptford blanked Northern Burlington, 2-0.
Sydney Ponto struck out eight batters for her third victory of the year, and helped her own cause by driving in a run. Brianna Fisher knocked in the Eagles' other run. Katherine Ziegler was 2 for 3 at the plate with a run scored.
The Eagle girls are now 5-0 on the season, and still have yet to allow a run. The next team to try will be Sterling this Thursday.

The West Deptford boys lacrosse team also carried the day Monday with a 9-8 double-overtime victory over Gloucester Catholic. Conor Smith completed his hat trick with the OT game-winner, Zach Kaestner piled on 5 points (3 goals, 2 assists), and Joey Diaco added 4 more (1 Goal, 3 Assists).
The Eagles needed every one of those points to stay a perfect 6-0. They face Woodstown next on Wednesday.
