For 10th Anniversary, Westfield's BoRaz Raises Money For 'Pink Out'
A portion of all proceeds at the local ice cream shop will go toward Westfield High School's Pink Out fundraiser this weekend.

WESTFIELD, NJ — Bohemian Raspberry, a beloved ice cream shop in Westfield, is celebrating its tenth anniversary this month.
Rather than running an anniversary discount special event, BoRaz will give a portion of its sales to the 2022 Westfield High School Girls Volleyball team's Pink Out fundraiser.
The fundraiser raises money for Pathways — a local organization that supports women while they are battling cancer, as well as assisting them during their recovery.

Last year, the money raised during Pink Out allowed 52 women undergoing or recovering from cancer treatment to either receive Pathways meals each week for at least five to 10 weeks, participate in Pathways Sister Strong Fitness Program and receive 16 hours of free one-on-one fitness training and/or receive financial assistance to pay bills when facing dire financial circumstances.
Westfield’s Varsity, JV and Freshman volleyball teams will take on East Brunswick High School in the WHS Varsity gym, 550 Dorian Road, beginning with the Freshman game at 4 p.m on Friday, Sept. 30. JV plays at 5 p.m., followed by Varsity at 6:30 p.m. No tickets are required, but donations will be accepted at the door.

BoRaz will donate a portion of all sales to the Pink Out from Friday Sept. 23 through Sunday, Sept. 25.
In addition, the team will be accepting donations at BoRaz. Owner Barry Goldenberg is encouraging the community to come by the shop to support this cause, "as cancer affects so many of our families, and our community."
The ice cream shop was supposed to shut down in August, but Goldenberg posted in late July that he was able to come to an agreement with his landlord to temporarily extend the lease.
Bohemian Raspberry also persevered during difficult times of the COVID-19 pandemic.
