Amateur Astronomers, Inc. Proudly Presents
Uranus: Mysteries of Our 7th Planet
Emma Friedman
Goddard Space Flight Center
The data gathered by NASA's Voyager 2 spacecraft shaped our understanding of the distant Uranus and subsequently our Solar System. But now scientists from NASA and Oxford University are reshaping our comprehension of ice giants and the Solar System.
Following the presentation, join us at the William Miller Sperry Observatory for refreshments and the chance to look through two of the largest amateur telescopes in the North East (weather permitting).
Sperry Observatory is open to the public every Friday evening, clear or cloudy, between 7:30 and 10:30 pm for an informal talk and observing.
AAI has been bringing the night sky to the public for 75 years.
