A Walk to Remember Mike and Vin

The 3^rd , celebrating the lives of Michael T. McCormick, Jr. and Vincent M. Simone will be held on Sunday, Oct. 16 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at .

The event is sponsored by the Michael T. McCormick, Jr. Foundation Inc. and Seton Hall.

Michael McCormick Jr. . The McCormicks, eager to preserve Michael's memory and continue his legacy, decided to turn the tragedy into an opportunity for other students. The Michael McCormick Jr. Memorial Foundation began two days after Michael's death.

The nonprofit awards scholarships to high school students attending private schools or going to college.

Though Michael was not able to finish his college career, for his parents, being able to help students continue their education, brings them closure and healing.

The walk will be held at Seton Hall Prep’s Kelly Athletic Center on Prospect Avenue in West Orange. 

The day will feature music, refreshments and a 5K walk/jog/run in memory of the pair.

Donations to the Michael T. McCormick Jr. Memorial Foundation will also be accepted on the day of the walk.
