Americana Diner In West Orange Serves Its Final Meal
One of the few remaining 24-hour diners left in the state will be missed in West Orange.

WEST ORANGE, NJ — A familiar eatery in West Orange has served its final meal: the Americana Diner.
The local restaurant closed its doors at 270 Main Street on Monday, getting a bittersweet farewell from the Downtown West Orange Alliance.
According to its website, the diner was opened by family members who “wanted to bring delicious affordable food to the people in and around the town of West Orange.”

“We feel it is our purpose to provide this world with as many happy faces as possible through our food,” the website states.
“Its classic design, delicious food, friendly staff, and standing as one of the few remaining 24-hour diners left in the state, will be missed in our Main Street community,” the Downtown West Orange Alliance posted online.
