Buy a Piece of Pals Cabin Monday

Here's what is going on in West Orange this week.

Looking to grab a piece of Pals Cabin since it officially closed its doors this month after 81 years in West Orange? On Monday there will be an auction by A.J. Willner Auctions to sell off everything inside the local landmark.

"That corner and our town will not be the same without Pals," West Orange Mayor Robert Parisi told Patch recently. 

The auction is scheduled for 11 a.m. inside at the closed restaurant. So head over and buy a piece of history.

On Monday night,  the Open Space Commission is set to meet at 7 p.m. in Conference Room 109 at West Orange Town Hall, 66 Main Street.

On Tuesday, the West Orange Township Council will convene at 7 p.m. in West Orange Town Hall, 66 Main Street.

On the agenda, the council is set to approve a resoultion to advertise for bids for lighting improvements at three West Orange High School's fields.

There also is a resolution on the agenda for a contract with PSE&G to install 16 bollard lights in Ridgeway Park for a cost of $45,364.42.

In the last meeting, the West Orange Township Council approved a bond ordinance, in a 4-1 vote, for $475,000 to build the park in the St. Cloud area of town.

On Wednesday, the Historic Preservation Commission is set to meet at 7 p.m. in Conference Room 109 in Town Hall, 66 Main Street

On Thurday, the Public Relations Commission Meeting is set for 6 p.m. in Town Hall in Room 109.
