Clues Sought After Fatal Shooting of Orange Man
Police are searching for leads in the fatal shooting of an Orange resident who died from his injuries Wednesday morning.

Police are investigation the death of a 41-year-old Orange man who died from gunshot wounds at University Hospital Wednesday morning.
Orange Police responded to reports of shots fired in the vicinity of 300 block of Alden Street, near Cleveland Street at 4:50 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 27, where they found Jacques E. Josephceus, 41, of Orange, Acting Essex County Prosecutor Carolyn A. Murray reported.

The victim was found on the ground suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He died from his injures at 4:10 a.m. this morning at University Hospital in Newark, Murray stated.
No arrests have been made and a motive has not been determined, Prosecutor Murray and Orange Police Director Hakim Sims stated. Police are searching for leads in the investigation, which is active and ongoing.

The Prosecutor’s office is urging the public to report any information to the police by calling the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide/Major Crimes Task Force tips line at 1-877-TIPS-4-EC or 1-877-847-7432.
