Eagle Scout Installs Outdoor Seats At West Orange Animal Shelter
Connor Seid said he was inspired to do the project when he adopted a Shih Tzu named King.
WEST ORANGE, NJ — A teen recently installed outdoor seating at an animal shelter in West Orange for an Eagle Scout project, officials say.
According to a social media post from West Orange Township:
“The Alex Caprio Animal Control Facility in West Orange received two new benches and a table in an outdoor seating area used for pet adoptions as part of an Eagle Scout project completed by Connor Seid of Troop 2 in West Orange. He was assisted by Sebastian Ordonez and Hayden Silva also of Troop 2. Seid was inspired to do the project when he adopted a Shih Tzu named King in 2017 and realized the facility lacked outdoor seating.”
A proclamation was read by West Orange Mayor Robert Parisi on July 21 at the facility for a brief dedication ceremony thanking Seid for his efforts.
