Friends of Hospice Luncheon Celebrates 28th Anniversary
Group holds benefit for Barnabas Health Hospice and Pallative Care Center at Pleasantdale Chateau.

The Friends of Hospice recently celebrated the group’s 28th anniversary Fall Event at a benefit for Barnabas Health Hospice and Pallative Care Center (BHHPCC) at the Pleasantdale Chateau in West Orange.
The Nov. 3 luncheon featured boutique shopping, a silent auction and raffles as well as a fashion show sponsored by M. Blaustein Furs and Luxury Outerwear of Short Hills.
“Since 1983, The Friends have organized luncheons, galas and golf outings that together have raised more than $2 million for BHHPCC,” said Executive Director Lorraine Sciara. “It is their dedication, especially during these challenging economic times, that contributes to BHHPCC fulfilling its mission to provide superior care to individuals and families facing advanced illness, regardless of their ability to pay,” she added.
