Keep West Orange Green: County Execs Meet With Sustainability Group
County officials will meet with officials from NJ Keep It Green to discuss Public Question 2, which will be on ballots this election day.

Essex County Executive Joseph N. DiVincenzo, Jr., along with Governor Richard J. Codey, Assemblyman John McKeon and Assemblywoman Mila Jasey will join NJ Keep It Green at 11 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 3 at the Essex County South Mountain Recreation Complex to plan New Jersey’s Green Acres program and to urging voters to Vote Yes on Public Question 2 on Election Day.
Public Question 2 will dedicate state funds to preserving open space, farmland and historic preservation. Funds will also protect clean water and ensure that future generations continue to have access to parks, open spaces, farmland and historic treasures. The funding will replenish the now-depleted Green Acres, Blue Acres, farmland and historic preservation programs, and continue funding to improve water quality, remove and clean up underground storage tanks, and clean-up polluted sites.
Participants at the press conference will be invited to take a paddleboat ride on the Orange Reservoir after the official proceedings are concluded.
