Man Accused Of Robbing Subway Restaurant In West Orange

The accused West Orange man "provided a full confession of the robbery," police said.

WEST ORANGE, NJ — West Orange police arrested a man who is accused of robbing a local Subway restaurant earlier this month, authorities said Thursday.

The West Orange Police Department released a statement about the robbery on social media:

“On Thursday, Nov. 17 at 9:26 a.m., the West Orange Police Department responded to 32 Main Street on a report of a robbery at the Subway restaurant. A male, believed to be armed by the victim, entered the Subway and demanded the store employee open the register as he climbed over the counter and removed cash. Detective Rakem Bell conducted an extensive investigation and charged Robert Klosky, of West Orange, with second-degree robbery. On Tuesday, Nov. 29, he was taken into custody by the West Orange Police Department Detective Bureau. An interview was conducted, where Klosky provided a full confession of the robbery. He was remanded to the Essex County Correctional Facility.”
