Man Burglarized Italian Eatery In The Oranges, Turns Himself In: PD

THE ORANGES, NJ — South Orange police arrested a West Orange resident after he allegedly burglarized a local restaurant in April. The suspect surrendered himself to police custody, authorities announced last week.

The South Orange Police Department released the following statement about the arrest:

“On April 11, the Mozzarella Restaurant on Valley Street was burglarized. An investigation by South Orange detectives led to the arrest of Marcell Dasilva, a 45-year-old West Orange resident. Mr. Dasilva turned himself in to this department on May 11, and was charged with burglary, theft and criminal mischief. Dasilva also had an active burglary warrant out of Bloomfield.”

Police transported Dasilva to the Essex County Correctional Facility in Newark.
