Man Shot Dead In NJ City, No Arrests Announced
Police are seeking the public's help with the investigation.
EAST ORANGE, NJ — A man was shot and killed this week in Essex County, and police are still searching for the person who pulled the trigger.
On Tuesday, around 12:40 p.m., East Orange police responded to the area of 252-256 North Clinton Street on reports of a gunshot victim.
Authorities found a local man, Hamza Abdul-Haqq, 36, had been shot in his “chest/back area,” according to prosecutors.

Police provided aid to Abdul-Haqq before he was rushed to a nearby hospital. He was pronounced dead within a half hour of the shooting, police said.
No arrests have been announced yet, and the shooting is still under investigation.
