Missing Man With Alzheimer's Last Seen 2 Days Ago In East Orange: Police

Police are asking for the public's help finding a missing 86-year-old man who was last seen in Essex County.

EAST ORANGE, NJ — Police are asking for the public’s help finding a missing 86-year-old man with Alzheimer's disease who was last seen on Tuesday in the Oranges.

The East Orange Police Department issued the following statement about the missing person case on Thursday afternoon:

“The EOPD is seeking the public's assistance in finding East Orange resident Erwin A. Stamper, who was last seen on June 10 leaving from Ely Place around 4 p.m. He is 86-years-old and suffers from Alzheimer's disorder.”

Police said Stamper is 5 feet 8 inches and about 150 pounds, with “salt and pepper” hair and brown eyes (see a photo in the Facebook post below).
