NJ National Guard Conducting Training Exercises in West Orange
The West Orange Police informed residents of the training exercises this weekend.

The West Orange Police Department informed township residents that the New Jersey National Guard will be conducting training exercises in several areas around the township this weekend.
The National Guard will be conducting their training exercises on Saturday, May 16 from 7 a.m. to midnight and Sunday, May 17, from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The training exercises will take place in the following areas:

- The wooded area behind the West Orange Armory.
- South Mountain Reservation mainly in the vicinity of May Apple Hill and Turtle Back Rock.
- Eagle Rock Reservation in the vicinity of the High Lawn back parking lot and North Lookout.
The training will consist of radio communication and land navigation.
West Orange Police advised residents to not be alarmed by their presence.
