High school seniors from Merchavim, Israel, who just weeks ago were spending their days in cramped bomb shelters, celebrated Chanukah in Times Square with local Israeli shlichim (emissaries) Rozi Ben Ami of Elizabeth, Noga Maliniak of Roseland, and Daphna Yizrael of South Orange. The teens are being hosted by <a href="https://patch.com/L-ckND" rel="nofollow">Golda Och Academy</a> in West Orange. Merchavim is one of Jewish Federation of Greater MetroWest NJ's seven partner communities in Israel.
