Police: Three High-End Cars Stolen From Montclair Country Club
West Orange police say the thieves used a Mercedes-Benz stolen from North Caldwell earlier on Sunday in the heist.

Thieves made off with three high-end cars from Montclair Golf Club and lost police in high-speed chase on Rt. 280 Sunday evening, West Orange police said.
The three high-end cars were reported missing from the valet at the country club just before 9 p.m., Sgt. David Palmere said.
According to Palmere, the stolen cars, a 2010 Land Rover, a 2013 BMW 535, and 2011 Mercedez ML350, were left with keys in the ignition.

Shortly after the report, West Orange police saw the stolen cars speeding on Rt. 280 east along with another Mercedes-Benz, Palmere said.
Police believe the other Mercedes-Benz was stolen from North Caldwell earlier that day, which police also lost in a high-speed chase on Rt. 280 heading toward Newark.

According to Palmere, West Orange police lost sight of the other cars on Rt. 280 but kept up the Mercedes-Benz stolen from North Caldwell until it exited the highway in Newark.
Newark police picked up the chase on First Street in Newark but lost the Mercedes-Benz within a few blocks, Palmere said.
