Traffic Advisory: Road Closures In West Orange This Weekend

West Orange Township reports road closures and restrictions around town this weekend due to the Edison Street Fair.

The Edison Day Festival will take place on Saturday, June 6, and will shutter a number of roadways in West Orange, according to township officials.

The event will be held on Main Street between Park Avenue and Babcock Place from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. This section of Main Street, however, will be closed beginning at 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., with limited access between Washington Street and Park Avenue, township officials said.

If motorists are traveling south on Main Street, police ask them to use Washington Street to Watchung Avenue to Park Avenue.

If traveling north on Main Street, motorists are asked to use Park Avenue to Watchung Avenue to Washington Street as an alternate route during these times.

A detour will be posted and police officers will be present to assist during the event.
