West Orange Coronavirus: 2 Cases, No New Deaths Thursday
Only one West Orange resident was hospitalized because of the virus as of Thursday.
WEST ORANGE, NJ —As of Thursday, no more West Orange residents have died of COVID-19, the disease caused by the new coronavirus, officials said.
In an update posted to Facebook, West Orange Mayor Robert D. Parisi said two new instances of a person being infected with the virus were reported on Thursday.
Since the pandemic began, 1,547 cases of the virus have been reported in West Orange. Of them, 1,427 people have recovered.

As of Thursday, 38 known cases remained active in West Orange, and one person remained hospitalized.
Of the new cases reported Thursday, one was that of a 41-year-old woman and another was a 44-year-old male.
