West Orange Man Photographed People In Verona Gym's Bathroom: Police
A West Orange resident has been accused of taking photos of people in the bathroom of a gym in Verona, police say.
ESSEX COUNTY, NJ — A West Orange man has been accused of photographing people in the bathroom of a gym in Verona, police say.
Devon Reilly, 29, of West Orange, was arrested on Feb. 28 in connection with incidents that allegedly took place at Crunch Fitness in Verona, authorities announced Tuesday.
The Verona Police Department released the following statement about Reilly’s arrest:

“Several weeks ago, Officer Carattini responded to Crunch Fitness after several adult victims contacted the Verona Police Department when they observed Reilly using his cellular phone in what they believed was an attempt to photograph them in the business’s bathroom. During the initial on-scene investigation, Officer Carattini was able to secure the cellphone used in the incident. Based on the initial information obtained by Officer Carattini, an investigation was initiated by Detectives Giovanni DeSomma and Robert Maguire. Based on their findings, a search warrant for the phone was granted by the Essex County Superior Court. Items of evidentiary value were discovered on the phone, and an arrest warrant was issued for Reilly, as well as a search warrant for his residence.”
Reilly was charged with five counts of invasion of privacy (third-degree) involving two separate adults, police said.
A police investigation continues, authorities said.
