West Orange Public Library Screening Films for Women's History Month

The library is screening several films in celebration of Women's History Month on Monday, March 30.

The West Orange Public Library is screening several films as a part of the sixth annual “And Still I Rise” Women’s History Month Film Festival.

The film festival, sponsored by Women in Media-Newark, will be screening two short films and one feature film from Israeli film maker Dvority Shargal.

The library will be screening the award-winning documentary “Where is Elle-Kari and What Happened to Noriko-San?”. According to the Internet Movie Database (IMDB), the documentary follows a “nostalgic, fascinating and heart-breaking journey into the core of the series books, ‘children of the world’, a very popular photographed children books in black and white from the mid of the 20th century.”

The screening of the films and subsequent discussion with Shargal will take place on Monday, March 30, at 5 p.m. at the West Orange Public Library, 46 Mount Pleasant Ave.
