West Orange Public Schools Closed Tomorrow for Blizzard
All schools in the district will be closed tomorrow, as the two-day blizzard is expected to dump two feet of snow on the area.

The West Orange school district has announced that all public schools in West Orange will be closed tomorrow, due to the blizzard set to dump more than two feet of snow on West Orange.

West Orange is under a Blizzard watch from Monday afternoon through Tuesday evening, as more than a foot of “heavy blowing snow” is predicted to hit the state, the National Weather Service reports.

By Monday night, could see 10 inches of new snow accumulation, with an additional 4 to 8 inches falling on Tuesday. According to the NWS, much of the state will see blizzard conditions and 1 to 2 feet of snow.
Governor Chris Christie today declared a state of emergency Monday as winter storm with tropic-storm-force winds began to fall in New Jersey. Power companies are warning residents that strong winds may bring down power lines and tree limbs.
