West Orange Teen Arrested for Robbery on PATH Train

A West Orange man and three juveniles were arrested for robbing a man on a PATH train.

A West Orange teen and three juveniles were arrested Monday after stealing a cellphone from a man on a PATH train.

Prince Drake, 18, of West Orange, and three juveniles, including two 17-year-old males from West Orange and a 16-year-old male from East Orange, were arrested and charged with robbery and conspiracy after a 34-year-old man reported being robbed of his cellphone, according to NJ.com.

Authorities said the man was robbed of his iPhone 5S around 10 p.m. as the westbound PATH train left the Harrison Station. One of the juveniles stole the phone from his hands while the rest of the teens held the doors open before fleeing, the report said.

The man reported the group of males had “used force” to take his phone and a description of the suspects and canvass was made by Port Authority Police, according to NJ.com. The four were detained by Harrison Police at a local Dunkin’ Donuts and were arrested by Port Authority Police around 11 p.m., NJ.com said.

The stolen cellphone was recovered.
